Our grant program is designed to support builders at every stage, from early experimentation to proven protocols, with capital, guidance, and accountability. Whether you’re launching new infrastructure, scaling a live product, or strengthening the social fabric of the ecosystem, our goal is the same: help bold ideas take off and grow.
Grants Guidelines
What You’re Building
A clear, simple description of the product, protocol, or tool you’re creating. Focus on what it does and who it’s for.
Why it Matters
Explain the problem you’re solving and why it’s important to the community. Show the impact, not just the idea.
Use of Funds
Break down how the funds will be spent (development, design, marketing, tooling). Keep it practical and transparent.
Measuring Success
Define how you’ll track progress and outcomes: milestones, users, deployments, or adoption metrics.
Proof of Work
Include links to past projects, GitHub, onchain dashboards or community contributions. Show us you’re real, engaged, and ready to ship.
Types of Grants
Builder Grants
Builder grants fund teams shipping real products, infrastructure and tools on Stacks. This tracks values measurable impact and long-term creation that moves us toward a more open, equitable internet powered by Bitcoin.
Getting Started Grants
This is where most builders begin: you have a novel idea and need support to bring it to life. Many developers come from our hackathons or DevRel programs to fund their first serious project. This track is for pre product market fit founders and small teams who have prototypes, technical spec, early user research, or real community traction.
Community DeGrants
This track funds the people who make Stacks feel like home: local organizers, educators, artists, content creators, and community builders who strengthen our social and cultural fabric. This program is completely run by the community with operational support from the Endowment.
Ambitious Builders
We back founders and teams who can build exceptional products. Your track record, demonstrated expertise, or early proof-of-concept should show you're ready to execute.
Clear Roadmaps & Milestones
Show us how funding translates into progress. Whether it's TVL targets, user metrics, code deliverables, or community engagement, we need to see specific milestones, realistic timelines, and honest budget breakdowns.
